WavPlayer by Bytescribe
Listen to standard Windows sound files while controlling them with a foot pedal.
WavPlayer by Bytescribe is an audio player program that allows the user to listen to standard Windows sound files while controlling them with a foot pedal. A transcriptionist can transcribe dictated reports without taking her hands off of the keyboard. The foot pedal controls the play, pause, rewind and fast forward functions. The software can run in a minimized state so that the transcriptionist is able to type into a word processor on the same computer. The WavPlayer software also offers speed and adjustable backspace controls. The WavPlayer is very popular for medical transcription, legal transcription, law enforcement and transcription schools.
The foot pedal that comes with the WavPlayer software plugs directly into any USB or serial (COM) port of any PC computer. The USB Version of WavPlayer is compatible with Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7. The Serial Port Version of WavPlayer is compatible with Windows 2000/XP.
The Orator Pro Digital Dictation System is able to export files into wav or TrueSpeech (compressed wav) format. These files can then be uploaded to an Internet site for download by transcriptionists. The transcriptionists may then use the WavPlayer to control these files.
WavPlayer can play most popular audio file formats. Common audio file formats include .wav, .dss, .ds2, .vox, .mp3, .msv, .dvf, .wma and many others. WavPlayer can also play many standard video formats.
